2015 the Best Selling Songs and Albums on iTunes

2015

"Uptown Funk" was the biggest-selling song and Adele's 25 was the biggest-selling album

iTunes unveiled its list of the top-selling songs and albums of 2015 Wednesday, with Adele’s 25leading the album ranking (to the surprise of no one) and Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars taking the top spot in the song standings with “Uptown Funk.”
But while Adele may have been the one breaking all the records this fall, the iTunes list should remind the world that Drake had a big year too. The Toronto rapper couldn’t top the “Hello” singer’s massive comeback album, but he is the only artist to have not one but two albums in iTunes list of the top-selling albums of 2015, unveiled Wednesday.
Drake’s is-it-a-mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, the first album to go platinum in 2015, landed the No. 2 spot on the list behind Adele. His collaborative album with Future, What a Time to Be Alive, is at No. 6, sandwiched between Justin Bieber and Kendrick Lamar.
On the songs list, “Uptown Funk” dominated the year, but the other big winner might be the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, which appeared on the albums list and had two songs—Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” and the Weeknd’s “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)”—crack the songs ranking. With Wiz Khalifa’s and Charlie Puth’s “See You Again” scoring the No. 3 spot, you could say it was a big year for movie soundtracks in general.
You can check out the full list on iTunes.
